Philippe Varin, CEO, Corus
Appointed in 2003, Varin was given the job of stemming losses at Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus, returning it to the black in style despite the challenges of low steel prices and high raw material and energy costs. He is also a Non-Executive Director of BG group.
